Get Android N 7.1.X Nougat On Lenovo K4 Note Now!

After the official release of Android N 7.0 Nougat from Google, many k4 note users have been waiting to update their smartphones to official Android N. Unfortunately, this is not going to happen. You may not receive official Android Nougat update on your Lenovo K4 Note. This is because, whenever any company launches a new phone, it will provide updates only for certain period. This is the case with Lenovo K4 Note. The phone is almost 1.5 years old as of today, May 2017. If you are a person like me, who wish to install Android N 7.1.X on Lenovo k4 note at any cost, then this tutorial is exactly for you.   In this article, I have provided a custom ROM which helps you to install unofficial Android N 7 Nougat update on your Lenovo k4 Note.

Note: This method of installing/flashing unofficial Android N 7.1.X  on lenovo k4 note is only for Vibe X3/A7010. Perform the task at your own risk.

Pre-Requisites:

• Lenovo K4 Note with an unlocked bootloader.
• Lenovo K4 Note with TWRP custom recovery.
  if you have these two prerequisites then you can move ahead.

Steps For Getting Android N 7.1.X Nougat On Lenovo K4 Note:

1. 1. Download and save both the zip files onto your SD card.
   2. Switch off Lenovo k4 note. Once the phone is completely off, press power button + volume up key+volume down key simultaneously till you observe a vibration.
   3. Now, the Lenovo k4 note will be booted into the TWRP recovery mode.
   4. The first step in recovery is to wipe the data. Select wipe then advanced wipe, select internal storage, Cache and Dalvik cache. Swipe the blue button at the bottom to wipe the data.
   5. Select install and navigate to the downloaded ROM section and flash it.
   6. Similarly, flash the G App and once the flashing is completed, tap on reboot system(Flashing usually takes from 5 to 15 minutes).
   7.  First boot animation will also take a long time so you don’t need to worry about the time while flashing.
   8. Provide your basic information and set up your Lenovo k4 note.
   9. Once the setup is complete, you can enjoy having Android N 7.1.X on your Lenovo K4 Note.
