Despite similar functionality, link shortening services have their own advantages and disadvantages. For example, the presence or absence of built-in analytics, the ability to set URL appearance, and so on.
Table of Contents
To.click
It’s a short links tool that is as simple as selecting profitable sport lines. It allows you to track your audience and manage your marketing traffic. You can create beautiful URLs of three types:
- Shortened.
- Targeted (with a pixel).
- Diplinks (allow you to navigate to a specific page within the app).
However, to use the tool, you will first have to register and confirm your email. Only after that, you will get a personal account and the ability to shorten links.
The primary advantage of the service is detailed analytics. You can track link clicks, click-through sources, platforms from which users came, audience geography, and languages.
All the main functions (creation of personalized links, QR codes, messenger links, analytics data) are available for free. But to bind your domain, and pixels, create a dip link, a targeted link, and set up an SSL certificate, you will have to upgrade to a paid service.

Bitly.com
Bitly.com is the largest link shortening service. It provides tools to track click-through statistics on generated short URLs. But you need to register to access this data.
If you don’t need statistics, you can shorten URLs without registration. To do this, enter the address of the desired link on the main page of the service.
There is also a paid version of the service, starting at $29 per month. In this case, you will get support via email, the ability to create beautifully branded links (with your domain), redirect any URL, shorten them in bulk, and make QR codes with the Bitly logo.
Rebrandly
To shorten a link you don’t need to register for the service. You only need to do that if you want access to advanced statistics and additional functions.
What options will appear:
- The ability to choose the method of reduction: to generate the shortest address, URL that takes into account SEO words, as well as a completely random URL.
- Specify a domain – leave rebrand.ly or write your own.
- Add UTM tags to the source link.
In the free plan, you can see only the number of clicks. For detailed analytics (data by geography, languages, devices), as well as connecting multiple domain names, and audience gathering for retargeting, and reporting you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan. The minimum cost is $29 per month.
Lingen
Lingen allows you to shorten a link for free. No need to register for this. But, as with most other services, to see the advanced analytics, you need to log in.
After registering you get to your personal cabinet, where you will have access to additional functionality. For example, you can add tracking pixels to your links, redirect users depending on language, platform, and country, and customize URLs with custom domains and aliases.
Tiny URL
This is one of the oldest services that was created in 2002. If you just need to shorten a link, you don’t need to register.
All you have to do is type the URL into the line and click “Make TinyURL!” If you want access to the full link history and the ability to create custom addresses, you’ll need to create an account.
